Dr. Adil Salhi

Adil Salhi is a highly distinguished Full Professor of Geography and Environmental Geosciences at Abdelmalek Essaâdi University (UAE) in Tétouan, Morocco, recognized internationally for his expertise in climate change, hydrology, socioecology, and geographic information systems (GIS). He currently serves as the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences Chair of International Cooperation and leads the Geography and Development Group laboratory at the university. Notably, he was awarded the prestigious title of Best Arab Scientist in 2024. Faculty Bio Academic Background & Education Professor Salhi possesses an extensive and multidisciplinary academic portfolio spanning Earth sciences and geography: Faculty Bio HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches): Obtained in Geography from Abdelmalek Essaâdi University (2013). Doctorates: Holds two PhD degrees, including a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Barcelona (2008). Additional Qualifications: Holds three Master's degrees, a BSc in Applied Earth Science, and has completed advanced training in watershed management at the UNESCO-IHE.
