The focal theme is: “Water Security, Human Health and One Health: Driving a Sustainable Future through Biotechnology.”

Water is a vital and strategic resource. It is indispensable for life, public health, safety and industrial development. Its distribution across the world is uneven. It is increasingly threatened by scarcity and by the degradation of its quality. CIIES26 aims to dedicate a significant part of its activities to awareness-raising and to the promotion of innovative solutions that prioritise sustainable approaches for water management and valorisation.
